Dr. Pepper - (aka Dr. Nut or Mr. Pibb in some places) - I like this drink a lot, though it has been accused of tasting like carbonated prune juice.

Aside from my beloved Coca-Cola, there's nothing like a good, spicy ginger beer. C*ck&Bull is good. Ginger People tastes very natural and refreshing but I wish it were stronger.

Some tidbits:

The name Pepsi is derived from pepsin since it was originally marketed as a stomach medicine.

I saw a French film from 1966 (Godard's Masculin-Feminin) where someone mentioned something about the "Pepsi generation." Apparently it's been the "Pepsi generation" for a long time...

Do you think that's just a coincidence, or maybe due to the fact that Coca-Cola used to have Cocaine in it?

And Pepsi & Coca-Cola are both owned by the same people.

::: Pepsi and Coke are owned by 2 compltley seperate corporations.....i know poeple who work in pepsi and they know of people who get fired for showing up with a coke to drink in the morning.....im not exaggerating either lol.....they take it real serious

1) Pepsi Bottling Group (PepsiCo) and the Coca-Cola Company are both publicly traded corporations with seperate corporate officers. They are completely seperate businesses and the only sense in which they are 'owned' by the same people is that you can own stock in both of them.

2) Dr Pepper and Mr. Pibb are different products with the same type of flavoring - Mr. Pibb was in fact specifically formulated to taste like Dr Pepper. Dr Pepper does not and has never used prune juice as a flavor component.

Anyone else?

Besides the fact that in actuallity all Mormon businesses are extensions of the Mormon church, which has nothing to do with this topic.

Personally, I dislike Pepsi, it's a little to tart to me as compared to Coke, which was originally made with cocaine, which did give it an addicting quality.

RC Cola = Royal Crown, or a company chartered by the British crown to produce a product, made in Canada(or was).

Between Pepsico and Coca-cola Beverages, each one has a competing brand for the different types of beverage.

Pepsico has Mug Root Beer, so Coke came out with Barq's
Pepsico has Dr. Pepper(check your label, so Coke came out with Mr. Pibb
Coke/Sprite - Pepsico/Sierra Mist(or the other way around, can't remember now)
etc., etc., etc.

It's weird how much misinformation is spawned in the world of beverages.

RC Cola was invented in Georgia in 1905 and has nothing to do with either Britain or Canada.

Barq's root beer was invented in New Orleans in 1890.

Mug root beer was invented in the 1950s and was bought by PepsiCo in 1986.

Dr Pepper and Mr. Pibb were also independent beverages - Dr Pepper is still bottled by the Coca-Cola Company in some areas, and Pepsi Bottling Group in others.

You're right on Sprite/Sierra Mist though.

I was under the impression that that's what Off Topic & Absurd was for. It certainly fits in the latter category.

I guess you're right, Aniewiel. This does technically fit into the off topic bullshit board, but seriously, I can think of better bullshit than this...instead I have to sit and watch my OP start out alright, then turn to absolute nonsense.

No more posting under those conditions me thinks. I've got a reputation to uphold.
